The Sentimental Sounds Swing Band is a group of musicians who play music from the Big Band era of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Tommy Dorsey, etc. This always-popular music style appeals the young as well as mature audiences who enjoy hearing numbers like In the Mood, String of Pearls, Jumpin’ at the Woodside and Sugar Blues - the music that people are humming and singing long after the concert ends.
The group is available to perform as a kickkoff for your organization’s event, or as a main feature. Cocktail and dinner receptions, dancing and nostalgic concerts are all possible from a library or music reaching from the 40’s to present-day. The band also has music for your holiday celebrations.
The Sentimental Sounds Swing Band is a self-supporting volunteer organization. No band member is paid for performing. A suggested donation for performances is used by the band to purchase additional music, supplies and equipment.
